In another win for diversity, the U.S. Naval Academy has announced the selection of Sydney Barber, the first African American woman to serve as a brigade commander! Having interned at the U.S. Dept. of Energy’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and being named a finalist as the 2020 Truman scholar, Sydney is an inspiration for us all. Congrats Sydney!
